Sunset Fishing Resort's own "Extreme Make-over" is now almost complete. Beginning almost from day one, under new ownership, we've been busy remodeling and sprucing up the place just to make your stay more pleasurable and enjoyable. Here is a photo of just some of our hard-working crew.
Remodelling expert Ron Bell surveys the space destined to be converted into a small group conference and Internet room scheduled for Spring 2007.
We are a small, cozy and quaint 8 unit resort that fits right in with a recent trend that is occurring in our area of family and friends reserving lodging for the week or weekends around Thanksgiving, Christmas and all other holidays. This works quite well for our guests, as they have the opportunity of having the entire resort to themselves.
Come Spring 2007 our Conference Room will be completed. This will allow each guest to prepare their delicacies in their individual units full kitchen and come together in our conference room for that wonderful and tasty family holiday feast.
We are even taking it a step further by offering catering services for these events. The menu and fees can be discussed at the time of your reservation.

Our remodelling campaign has been much more than just merely cosmetic. From top-to-bottom, we've re-modelled bathrooms, kitchens, and our office and re-roofed painted the entire place while retaining all the old country cottage, homemade bedspread, knotty pine charm.

Master craftsman Robert Adibi surveys the work-in-progress as the work starts on the new Small Group Conferencing and Internet Access Center. In addition to being place to get away 'to' for individuals and families. Adding the Center will make Sunset Fishing Resort an attractive destination for doing affordable retreats for small groups.
One of the first intiatives of the remodelling project was to re-paint our adobe-roofed country cottages with contemporary colors. We also did a complete upgrade of interiors with all the nice hospitality touches.
The impact on the local business community was fantastic. It was great sign that re-vitalization of the tourist and hospitality industry so important to local business economy was well on its way.
What a rewarding feeling that it gives us to know that we are doing our part to move Clearlake business forward.
